JEE Main
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, a National level entrance exam is conducted every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The purpose of conducting the exam is to shortlist candidates for admission to various BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

JEE Advanced
Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced, is an academic examination held annually in India. It is organized by one of the seven zonal IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board on a round-robin rotation pattern for the qualifying candidates of the JEE-Main.

MHT CET
The MHT-CET or Common Entrance Test is an annual entrance exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. It is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education.
KIITEE
KIITEE is the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination. The entrance exam is held for admission to all UG, PG and PhD courses offered by KIIT. It is a common entrance test. The unique feature of the entrance test is that the registration is free of cost.
BITSAT
BITSAT (short for BITS Admission test) is an online (computer based) entrance examination for admission to integrated first degree programmes of BITS Pilani (Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad campuses). BITSAT is being conducted since 2005 and is one of the most competitive engineering entrance exams in India.

VITEEE is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology for candidates who are interested in taking admissions for the Vellore and the Chennai campus.
SRMJEEE is conducted by SRM University for candidates willing to take admissions in B Tech for various campuses. Admissions are taken on the basis of entrance exams and merit and the seats are allotted on the choice filling and merit.

Diploma in Engineering
Engineering courses, which are a total of six years including two years in class 11 and 12th and then four years in the completion of the complete course. If Diploma is opted, the same qualification is achieved with the 3-year diploma course which students can pursue after 10th. After completing a degree in Diploma, the candidates can go for B.Tech which collectively takes them 6 years to complete their engineering (3 years diploma + 3 years B. Tech).

Master of Technology (M. Tech)
MTech is a professional postgraduate engineering master degree programme awarded to candidates after completion of two years of study in the discipline of engineering. This degree is predicated in a specific branch of engineering.
In India, this master degree is regulated under the aegis of University Grants Commission of India (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Admissions to ME/MTech programmes offered by technical colleges and universities in India is made through a National level/State-level/Institute-level engineering entrance examination.
Nature of Degree : Postgraduate degree.
Eligibility :

Candidates who have completed their BE/BTech degree with a valid score in GATE are eligible for ME/MTech degree course.

Candidates who have completed a 5-year program in Science or Applied Sciences resulting in the award of a Master of Science degree are also eligible for Master of Engineering course.

Admission is based on rank obtained in the entrance test conducted for ME./MTech.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE):
Entrance Exam for MTech Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or popularly known as GATE is a national-level engineering exam conducted every year for admission to postgraduate and doctorate level courses at IITs, NITs and IIITs. The exam is jointly conducted by seven IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
Various government and private institutions across the country accept the GATE score for admission to their MTech programmes. Moreover, Public Sector Units (PSUs) also recruit engineers through GATE.
