 Five-year integrated LLB courses at Undergraduate level 

A law degree offered in integration with a bachelor degree in any stream including, Arts, Humanities, Commerce, Science and even Engineering. This course includes a graduate programme such as BA, BBA, B.Com etc. along with the core subjects mentioned in LLB degree.

Eligibility : 10+2 std . Selection on basis of merit (i.e. directly on basis of marks of 12th std) or along with passing of following entrance Exams.

NMIMS Law Aptitude Test (NLAT) : Conducting Body: Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. (Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT): Symbiosis International (Deemed University) conducts tests for admission into their five-year integrated law programs. Christ University Law Entrance Test (CULEE) : Christ University will conduct CULEE (Law entrance exam) for admission to BA LLB and BBA LLB courses offered by it. 

MH CET Law 2022 : is a state level Common Entrance Test conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra.

Army Institute of Law, Law Entrance Test (AIL LET): is the Law Entrance Test (LET) conducted by Army Institute of Law (AIL) for admissions to BA LLB course.

Types of Five-year LLB courses

Across all law schools in India, the five-year LLB courses offered are as under:

 Three-year LLB courses (after completing graduation)

The three-year LLB is an undergraduate Law degree, the eligibility for which is graduation in any stream. The postgraduate degree in Law is called LLM.

Eligibility :

Candidates need to be graduates i.e. either they should have passed a bachelor degree of three-years or four-years duration in any subject/ discipline in order to pursue an LLB course. some colleges also fix a minimum percentage requirement that candidates need to fulfil in order to secure admission in the three-year LLB course offered by them.

Certificate of Practice

Candidates completing their LLB degree have to appear for the  All India Bar Examination (AIBE) by BCI. To clear the bar examination is mandatory for all law graduates to be able to practice law.

All India Bar Examination is an examination conducted by Bar Council of India for law graduates willing to start practice of Lawyer. The candidate will be awarded certificate of practice after clearing the examination and is eligible to practice in any court in India. http://www.allindiabarexamination.com/

After passing the examination candidate will be awarded "Certificate of Practice" by the Bar Council of India.

Master of Legislative Laws [L.L.M.]

Term : 2 years postgraduate degree law

Master of Law helps gaining an in-depth knowledge of a particular field of law through intensive research in that field of law. Master of Laws offers various specializations such as International Law, Corporate Law, Business Law, Criminal Law.

Eligibility: Cleared either 3 yr LLB Degree or 5 yr LLB Degree

PhD in Law

The objective of Ph.D. in Law is to enhance the idea of the aspirants on legal matters post the completion of LLM or M.Phil in the related field of studies. Best for people who wish to work as Jurist, Researcher, Lawyer, Solicitor, etc.

Term : 5 Years

Eligibility : Qualifying LLM with an aggregate of 55% from a recognized university

Doctor of Laws [LL.D.]

Doctor of Laws is another name for a research-level degree programme in law. A Doctor of Laws or LLD degree is a dedicated postgraduate degree for candidates who already have a PhD. Best for people who wish to work in the academic field as professors or teachers of law, Oath Commissioners, Judge.

 

Term : 3yrs

Eligibility : qualified LLM or PhD along with sufficient work experience in relevant field
